PeriodisationStrength & Power

Planning training in phases to peak at the right time and manage fatigue.

Periodisation is the structured variation of training volume, intensity and focus over time, organised into phases so that fitness is built, fatigue is managed and performance peaks when it matters. Models include linear (gradual shift from volume to intensity) and undulating (frequent variation) approaches. The goal is to balance adaptation against overload and staleness.
