Patient-Reported Outcome MeasureMeasurement & Testing

A questionnaire capturing the patient's own view of their health.

A Patient-Reported Outcome Measure is a validated questionnaire that captures a patient's own assessment of their symptoms, function or quality of life, without a clinician's interpretation. Examples include pain and function scores used in musculoskeletal care. They anchor outcomes to what matters to the patient and are widely used to judge whether treatment is working.
