EMG

ElectromyographyMeasurement & Testing

A measure of the electrical activity a muscle produces when it works.

Electromyography records the electrical signals muscles generate when they contract, using surface or fine-wire electrodes. It is used to study which muscles are active, how much, and when during a movement or exercise. It indicates activation and timing rather than force directly, and surface signals can be affected by technique and electrode placement.
